The House of Burning Bras

Many of you have been following my blog To Stalk a Publisher. My motivation for starting that blog was to document my journey to becoming a published writer.

Over the last year I have achieved that ambition in a very small way.

I've published two short stories and a handful of articles.
I've finished my first young adult novel Immune and ran the gauntlet of publishers and agents with it.
I have two well known and respected agents asking to see my next complete novel.
I'm now sitting on the editorial panel for the Litopia e-zine Muse, a fab new magazine that I've interviewed both Bernard Cornwell and Charlaine Harris for.
I've been a guest speaker on the worlds biggest literary podcast and hope to become a regular.
I've seen over 10,000 visitors on my website since August 2008.

All in all it's been a pretty damn good year for me. So no book deal yet... but it's only a matter of time :)

Where now? Well I'll keep To Stalk a Publisher going, keep updating those of you who read my blog and enjoy it but I want to go in another direction. Instead of just updating you with writing news I want to write some pieces that will make you giggle and smile.

So.... here it is, The House of Burning Bras.

Enjoy!

  2. You are one impressive young lady - I really admire your daring do and your diligence and I am downright jealous of your relentless pursuit to succeed as a writer. As I see it you've already achieved that success - you just don't get paid for it yet - yet. But you have to know Em that you are a writer, pay or no pay. Pretty good too. :)
